Animal Order Request Form

All acquisition and procurement of vertebrate animals used for teaching, research, or exhibition at the University of Kansas, regardless of species or housing location, must be specifically approved in advance by the IACUC via an approved Animal Use Statement and the University Attending Veterinarian or designee. For deliveries from approved ACU rodent and rabbit vendors, except the National Institute of Aging (NIA), Animal Order Requests must be submitted by noon on Thursday for delivery the following week. NIA orders must be submitted by noon on Monday for delivery the following week. ​

An account with sufficient fund balance to cover animal procurement and a 30 day per diem charge must be provided. Orders will not be placed until a sufficient account is provided.
Orders from Envigo arrive on Mondays; Charles River, Jackson Labs Taconic and NIA are on Tuesdays.
